Liverpool wedding at the Richmond Hotel

Liverpool wedding at the Richmond Hotel

Lisa and Johns wedding at the Richmond Hotel Liverpool

Grade two listed building

My second covid wedding and the week before weddings went down to a maximum of 15 people. The Richmond Hotel is a stunning boutique hotel in Hatton Gardens in the heart of Liverpool and is a perfect wedding venue. Bridal prep was at the hotel with everyone wearing masks and observing the current regulations. Lisa the bride was very calm and really looking forward to getting married to John. The reception room at the Richmond Hotel is a beautiful room and has recently been decorated and has also had a new carpet laid which finishes the room nicely. The only people that were allowed to walk down the center of the aisle by the registrars were the bride and her dad which was upsetting for the flower girls and bridesmaids. The wedding ceremony was then followed by the taking of the group photos outside the hotel and for a day in late September the weather was very kind to us. The meal was then ready and the guests made their way to the wedding breakfast. I must say the food looked lovely and all the guests were well looked after by the staff at the hotel. After the meal it was time for the speeches which were very entertaining despite the bride's dad not asking us to lock him in the toilets so he didn't have to do his speech. The cutting of the cake was followed by the first dance as husband and wife before the rest of the guests joined the happy couple on the dance floor.

I must say a big thanks to Lisa and John and their guests who were really great on the day and very friendly and also a big thanks to Jade and all the staff at the Richmond Hotel. I have photographed several weddings at the hotel and it is a hotel I cannot recommend highly enough, everyone is really looked after and the food is excellent. I hope to be back there soon to photograph more weddings.

I would also like to say a big thank you to Stu my second photographer on the day for his help.
