Rebekah and Lewis's wedding at the Hillcrest Hotel Widnes
Many years ago when I left school my first job was as a waiter at the Hillcrest Hotel, Cronton Lane in Widnes. I was back at the Hilly as we always called it as the wedding photographer for Rebekah and Lewis's special day. Being a Widnes wedding photographer it took me all of five minutes to arrive there from leaving my house. Bridal prep was very quiet, with a very quiet bride, bridesmaids, and shy parents oh sorry wrong wedding. It was wild, it was crazy but boy was it fun, we had a laugh we had a blast and we got some great natural images. Stu, my second photographer was in Liverpool photographing the groom prep. The lads had a few beers and cigars with the Liverpool skyline making a great backdrop for some stunning groom prep images. It all got real when Rebekah put on her wedding dress, she looked beautiful, there were tears from the parents and the bridesmaids when they saw how stunning she looked. The wedding ceremony was very relaxed and you could see how much Rebekah and Lewis meant to each other. We then went to Birchfield gardens for the group photos which again was great fun with everyone enjoying themselves. We returned to Hillcrest for the wedding breakfast and all the guests had a shot or two of sambuca before their meal. The speeches followed the meal and were very entertaining with the bride and groom being suitably embarrassed. In next to no time the evening guests were arriving and the happy couple made their way on to the dance floor to cut the cake cut and have their first dance as husband and wife. It had been a great day and a pleasure to be a part, everyone made us feel so welcome and thank you also to the staff at the Hillcrest for their hard work.
