Peckforton Castle Wedding photography
Everyone wants to feel special on their wedding day, and Peckforton Castle is the perfect venue. The Castle is set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside and is one of the top wedding venues in Cheshire if not the country. The Castle can accommodate weddings of up to 160 guests and also has accommodation and parking for your guests so they don’t have to worry about that drive home or trying to book a taxi.
The History of the Venue
Very few locations in England are as rich in history and legend as Peckforton Castle, a Grade I listed building. The castle’s architect was James Wyatt, who also designed the Houses of Parliament. The first recorded owner of the castle was William de Peckforton, who was granted the estate by William the Conqueror in 1066. The castle has had several owners over the years and has also been let by the Royal Air Force and a boy’s school.
Weddings at the Venue
If you want a venue with the wow factor, you will be hard-pressed to find a better one than Peckforton Castle. The whole building is steeped in history, going back hundreds of years. The Great Hall, the library, the dining room, and the red sandstone walls are just some of the amazing features of the venue.
Wedding Photography at the Venue
There are so many amazing places for photography at the venue, including the lodge, the bridal suite, and the Great Hall, to name just a few, and that is just inside the castle. Once you go outside, you have the most amazing backdrop you could ever wish for, with your wedding party standing on the lawn and the castle in the background.
