Carden Park has changed hands many times over the years, with records showing a manor house has stood on the estate since the 17th century.

Ideal for indoor weddings and also for your evening reception. The Shooting Lodge can cater for approx 120 guest. With a bar area just outside the main room itself there is plenty of room to relax and if the weather is nice there is also a garden area for you to enjoy and relax.
The Carden Suite
This room is ideal for larger weddings and functions catering for approx 350 people. This is one of the biggest rooms in the Cheshire area for weddings and is great if you are having a band as part of your evening entertainment as they can be on the stage leaving you with plenty of room on the dance floor.

Where are the best spots for photos around Carden Park?
Some of my favourites are the formal gardens, the vineyard, the lake, the long driveway, the open fields, and the beautiful interiors inside the hotel. Each area gives you something different, from wide cinematic moments to intimate, romantic portraits.
Do you offer drone photography at Carden Park?
Yes — drone coverage is included in all my packages (weather and venue permissions permitting). Carden Park looks fantastic from the air, especially the landscaped gardens, the hotel frontage and the sweeping countryside views.
Are there good indoor photo locations if it rains?
Absolutely. Carden Park has plenty of elegant indoor spaces — the staircase, the lounges, the reception areas and the beautifully decorated rooms. If the weather turns, you’ll still get gorgeous, high-quality photos without any stress.
What time of day is best for portraits at Carden Park?
Golden hour in the evening is amazing at Carden Park — the light falls beautifully over the gardens and makes everything glow. Earlier in the day I tend to use shaded areas, the architectural features and the gardens to keep everything natural and flattering.
How long do couple portraits usually take?
I usually recommend around 15–20 minutes for your main portrait session. Then, if you’re up for it, we can pop out for a quick 5-minute golden-hour session later in the day to grab some really stunning, relaxed shots.
Where do you normally do the group photos?
The lawn near the gardens is perfect — spacious, tidy and easy for guests to gather. If it’s wet or windy, the hotel has brilliant indoor alternatives that still look elegant and clean for group shots.

Yes — I’ve worked with the team many times. The coordinators are brilliant and always on top of everything. Because I know the flow of the day at Carden Park, everything feels very smooth and relaxed for you.
Can you photograph large weddings at Carden Park?
Of course. All my packages include two photographers as standard, which means we can cover your morning prep separately, capture more natural moments and make sure nothing is missed — especially at bigger weddings. The Carden Suite can cater for up to 350 guests so is ideal for large weddings.
What happens in the evening — do you stay for the party?
Definitely. Evening celebrations are one of my favourite parts of the day. Once the dance floor opens, I stay to capture the atmosphere, the laughs, the energy and all those brilliant candid moments.
