What’s In

Candid, Documentary Coverage

While posed photos will always have a place, 2025 is all about storytelling. Couples want their day captured as it happened, with all the tears, laughter, dance floor madness, and more. Brides wish to see pictures of their partners getting ready. There has been a significant increase in couples wanting photos of the groom and groomsmen getting ready before their wedding, as well as of their guests arriving.

They also want more pictures of their guests enjoying themselves on their wedding day as these are the moments they will not see on their wedding day, with everything that is going on. This is why we include two photographers in all our packages, allowing us to capture these special photographs.

Post Wedding Sessions

We have noticed an increase in couples scheduling a relaxed photo session with us a few days after their wedding. These “day after” shoots allow for adventurous locations, better lighting, and no time pressure. Please let us know if this is something you would be interested in.

Drone Wedding Photography

Drone photography is on the rise for 2025 weddings, especially at countryside estates, beaches, and stately homes. It adds a wow factor and gives you a stunning perspective of your venue. We have two drones that we can use on your wedding day, and they are also great for capturing group photographs from a unique angle, providing a different perspective than the traditional group shot. The quality of the drone pictures ensures you will get an amazing picture of your venue and/or your wedding guests. I am a qualified and insured drone pilot with an A2 Open Category Qualification.

Lay Flat Wedding Photos

Shoes, jewellery, perfume bottles, embroidered veils—2025 couples want these stylish details captured like a fashion shoot. Editorial-style flat lays and close-ups bring your personal style to life. One idea we say to couples is for the bride to have the wedding rings rather than the groom. Your wedding invitation is also another good addition for the photographs.

What’s Out in 2025

Allowing guests to use their phones during the Ceremony

One thing a photographer worries about is missing the shot of the bride walking down the aisle because one of the wedding party members has put their mobile phone out to take a picture. You have invited your guests to your wedding to be part of your day. One thing I recommend to all couples is to have an unplugged ceremony, where phones are not allowed during the service. This is, of course, up to you to decide if this is something you would like.

Speeches

You can choose not to have them or to keep them short, sweet, and meaningful. You can still thank your guests personally throughout the day.
If you asked your guests:
“Would you rather listen to a 30-minute round of speeches or eat right now?”
Most would choose food every single time.

If speeches stress you out, consider skipping, shortening, or making them more informal. This is your day. Do it your way. If you are doing speeches, consider doing them before your meal so you can then relax and enjoy your food and drink.
